6 DAYS MASAI MARA AND GORILLA TRACKING

Day 1: Maasai Mara National Reserve
Depart Nairobi in the Morning for masai mara passing through the dramatic Great Rift Valley stopping at the view point, Ascend the western rim of the valley crossing the loita plains (maasai-land),see red-clad maasai warriors tend their multi-colored herds amongst plains game. Game viewing enroute to lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive inside the most scenic park in Kenya where great concentration of game is seen including the "Big Five". Dinner and overnight at mara sopa lodge

Day 2: Maasai mara National Reserve
Morning and afternoon game viewing inside the Park. Search for wild game black manned lion for which Mara is famous for, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, leopard, grants gazelle are quite common, even the rare rhino might come out of the thicket for you, hyenas are plentiful, Extend your drive to the hippo point where schools of hippo submerge on the approach of vehicles only to surface seconds later to shot and gamble their displeasure as the crocodiles sunbathe on the river banks mouths agape. Between meals there is optional visit to the maasai villages for an insight to their culture if clients so wish. Meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge/keekorok lodge/similar.

Day 3: Masai Mara-Nairobi
Breakfast and return to Nairobi arriving at around 1300 hours. Transfer to the airport for Kampala for overnight.

Day 4: Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After Breakfast, depart Kampala and head southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a stop over at the Equator for Coffee/toilet break and photos then continue on to Mbarara stop at Agip Motel for Ugandan buffet lunch. You will then drive through traditional homesteads seeing banana plantations and famous Ankole cattle with their incredible long horns. You will then ascend into the kigezi highlands; here you will start seeing the peaks of the Virunga volcanoes before descending down the valley into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Dinner and overnight depending on Gorilla Group.

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking
After an early breakfast, report to the ranger station for registration and briefing by one of the ranger guides. Head into the forest in search of the Gorillas, the time taken and the terrain vary with the movement of these great giants. Depending on the time of return, afternoon guided walk on the Munyanga River trail, or a community guided walk will be organized with visits to the Batwa people, traditional doctors and blacksmith, this will be summed up with entertainment from the Local Youth group members, Dinner and overnight at the same as above.

Day 6: Bwindi to Kampala
After breakfast, we will head back to Kampala, with a lunch stop at Agip Motel Mbarara. We will have another stop at the Equator to shop for some souvenirs then head to Entebbe International Airport for flight.
